About Us:

Vessel of Life is an organization passionate about the healing and well-being of women survivors of childhood sexual abuse. We seek to be a safe haven for survivors in order to make the healing process accessible and possible to all women.

We have a heart for women survivors that have endured the heavy trauma from the effects of child sexual abuse. We understand the painful immediate and long term effects of this trauma in women’s physical bodies, minds and spirits. We know survivors of child sexual abuse are RESILIENT, STRONG and COURAGEOUS women.

We believe God has a special purpose for the lives of women survivors, which includes a life full of wholeness, joy and victory.

About Angelica Ramirez:

Our Vessel of Life founder, Angelica Ramirez, has over 15 years of counseling, program development, education and outreach experience in New York City. Her extensive experience in the provision of direct services to women in shelters, drug treatment programs, and other settings in New York City fueled her passion to help women overcome adversity. Yet, her own life experience served as the motive to help other women survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Abandonment and shame were too familiar to Angelica since a young age. Immediately after losing her father at the age of 2, she started experiencing sexual abuse. This was just the beginning of how shame and brokenness would attempt to destroy God’s plan for her life. Years of repeated childhood sexual abuse at the hands of uncles and cousins continued until adolescence. Through her pain and loneliness God was by her side strengthening her every step of the way. Once Angelica understood and received God’s love and purpose for her life, she grew a desire to heal.

Angelica is familiar with the painful trauma associated with living through childhood sexual abuse. Today, she is a devoted and loving mother to a 10 year old son. She loves and appreciates all life has to offer. Her purpose today is to share her healing journey to help other resilient and courageous survivors navigate the healing process successfully.
